The Greenwich Scarf is a richly coloured woven design exploring colour, texture and structure through a layered geometric pattern.
Designed by hand in my studio in Rutland and woven in the UK, each scarf combines British wool, merino lambswool and Donegal wool. The British wool gives the scarf body and structure, while the softer yarns bring warmth, texture and subtle variation to the weave.
Generously sized to wrap around you, the Greenwich Scarf is designed for chilly mornings, layered over knitwear or tucked underneath a coat for extra warmth. The wool naturally becomes softer with time and wear, making it a piece to enjoy season after season.
A distinctive detail is the small fringe running along both sides of the scarf, giving a simple, considered finish to the weave.
Available in Peacock, Fuchsia and Pumpkin.
The story behind the British wool:
The warp combines British wool from a small farm on the Devon/Somerset border with a British Bluefaced Leicester and Masham blend. Both yarns celebrate local British wool production.
